Intermission is the most fun Ive ever had with my clothes on. It featured a cast of around 40 people, with a crew of around 20. We shot both walk-in and drive-in versions; the walk-in version is below. I directed and did the off-line edit. Lawrence Grunberg was the DP. It was shot on 35mm film at 1:1.85.
The stars and co-producers of Its Intermission were John and Molly Tristao and John Bettencourt. John and Molly T. are the two attendants, and John B. is seen playing the saxophone. I have a cameo in the scene between the piano shot and the little kid on the counter, wearing an Air Force uniform (my own) at the upper right of the screen. My late mother also appears behind the elderly couple inside the theater, and in the ending group scene.
The QuickTime movie below was created with CinePak compression at 12 FPS, or exactly 1/2 of the original frame rate, and was captured using MacAnimator Pro and a NuVista+ board.
